Day One Hundred And Fifty Seven

Had a lovely day today.  We attended the Christening service of Kian Patrick Norman.  Lovely little fella that he is.

Had a cracking afternoon at his party at St Aidens in Winstanley.  When that eventually wrapped up, we were invited to go to Adrienne and Tim's, just up the road.  We duly did and had a lovely evening!  Lovely company, lovely snacks and a fair few bottles of lager!  'twas indeed lovely.  Even after Deb revealed my embarrassing secret!!!

Day One Hundred And Fifty Six

Had a lovely old day today.  Woke up a bit early with the Luke (pre 7am), so after liaising with my lovely wife, I went back to bed at 9 for an hour or so.

After a swift visit to Costco in Haydock, and then to Somerfield at Ashton, it was home to entertain my sister and brother in law (along with my nephew), my mother in law, as well as a full compliment of Haytons.  I barbecued and it was nice.  Well - I thought so, anyway.  Monday is the thirty sixth anniversary of my entering this world so that was kind of the reason for today's soiree.

Day One Hundred And Fifty Five

Well - we're home.  I miss Center Parcs so much :-(

Before we left today, we spent time playing at the beach and we built sandcastles with Luke.

Luke then played on the slide and bumped his head good and proper.  He had a great big egg on it - poor little fella.  We took him round to the medical centre just to get him looked over an make sure it hadn't sent him (any more) mad.  It hadn't.

From there, we walked over to the Country Club for a drink and let Luke have another play.  He didn't sustain any injuries there - fortunately.  From there, out to the nature place where Luke did some brass rubbing and had a walk round the lake. There was even time for a quick visit to the hide.

Eventually - we made our way back to the car and came home.  I am SO tired this evening it's untrue.  When we got home, our garden was a bit like a jungle, so I mowed it - strimmed it - raked it, swept it and watered it.  Oh - and tidied it a bit, too.  Double double tired now.  Nighty nighty one and all - got a bit of an event planned for tomorrow. It's a pre-birthday barbeque with friends and family.  Looking forward to it!!

Evening all

Last (full) day of our holiday.  Booooo.

Swimming again this morning and reeeeelaxing all afternoon.  Playing Trivial Pursuit on the Wii at the moment then about to do one last night in the hot tub. I SO need a hot tub.  I can picture myself, sat in it - drinks to one side, wife on the other, looking out over our flash.  ACE!!

The boys had been in hysterics all afternoon, just by dressing themselves up in adults clothing.  I hope this photo captured their excitement!

Day One Hundred And Fifty Three

Hello reader. Wednesday was a lovely day. The sun was shining and we thoroughly enjoyed it! We did lots of bike riding and playing both at our lodge and at the various parks they have here. During the evening James and i had a massage, which was wonderful. Following that, back to the lodge for a prawn balti and another evening in the hot tub. I could get used to this!

Today has been wet. Still is. We went swimming this morning which was brill. This afternoon we went for a bike ride round the park. Did 3.5 miles. Very nice. Deb and Lisa are about to head off for some relaxation treatments so we are in charge tonight. Today's photo... Is luke blowing bubbles in the garden.
