Day Ninety

Man it's wet.

Been an up and down kind of day. Luke was ill and had to leave Helen's early.  I had a ceiling collapse in a bedroom, but I did have a lovely spag bol for tea.

Day Eighty Nine

Hello

I bought a £2,200 barbeque this morning for £159.  Debenhams had mispriced it, so I took full advantage.

Got an email this afternoon along the lines of "actually... we've made a great big mistake there".  Ah well - it was worth a go.

Whilst I was fast a bo-bo's this afternoon, Deb took Luke out to the park.  She took this photo's for your delictation, so... enjoy!

Day Eighty Eight

Hello Too Yoo

Busy day at work but I still managed to squeeze in a smashing visit from my lovely wife and son, AND a hair cut!  So I no longer look like I've stepped out of 1975.

As I parked Deb's car outside our house this evening, I put the hand-brake on. Instead of it applying the brake, it snapped the cable and the hand-brake lever in the car was at a 90 degree angle.  Arse.

It is now parked on the drive with a broken hedgehog under the back wheel to prevent it parking itself in the playroom.

Day Eighty Seven

Evening all

One quick photo for you this evening.

Skelmersdale is having a new town centre built and we've been told at work that we're moving buildings, so we had a good toot at the plans and tried to work out where we're going.  Exciting huh?

Day Eighty Six

Hello to you

Got a few photo's for you today.

We've had a busy one tidying and shopping and then entertaining lovely friends this evening.  All in all, been a lovely day!

This morning, Luke was playing with his "super letters", and laid these letters out on the rug.

"What's so funny about Right Hand Drive?"

The second photo is of Luke with Lorna and Lucy, who visited us this evening.  He was terribly bossy and didn't give them a minute's peace.

Day Eighty Five

Af'noon.

Firstly, I hope you like the new-look blog.  I literally spent minutes doing it so if not, it's not the end of the world.

I have FOUR photo's for you today.  Luke and I had a lovely time playing at home, then we drove to Pennington Flash in Leigh and fed the ducks.

"How is that natural?"

"Luke threw bread. The ducks advanced. Luke retreated"

 "In the hide. Hiding. Obviously"

We left Pennington a bit earlier than I would have liked, as it started raining and his nibs started having a breakdown about being "soaked".  To be fair, the weather has been erratic all afternoon.  However, the result was this...

Day Eighty Four

When I say Bo, you say Selecta.

BO!

BO!

BO!!

Nice one. Well done.

Three photo's for you today. Two from today, and one from yesterday that I forgot to upload.

Firstly, following my trip to the quacks this morning (I saw the male Austrian Doctor and not the female pretty English one), I have been prescribed a gazillion of these. I have to take two a day for the next month and see what happens.  I'm a living medical experiment!!

"Gastro Resistent Capsules Innit"

If anyone wants to "score" some off me, because I was born in a postcode district of "L", I am more than happy to oblige.
Second photo is one to highlight the several hours work I've put in in jet washing the patio.  I know you can get karcher patio cleaner attachments, but why take the easy route?  Anyway - it's ALL done now and you could eat your dinner off it.  I wouldn't suggest it though, but if you wanted to - you could.

 "Spick and Span"

And finally....  My lovely wife pointed out some activity outside our house yesterday evening.  I took a photo of it, because it was a rarity.  The sale of a motor vehicle was taking place, and the photo is of the prospective purchaser.

Day Eighty Three

Hello..... there

I had a ridiculous amount of sleep today, considering I finished work for 4 days. very silly.

We had a lovely evening at home, with Luke and Deb singing away to all sorts of things on TV.  This photo captured them mid song...

After finishing work this morning, I was treated to a sight that I do not think I will ever get bored of.  No, not that!  This...

Day Eighty One

Hi

Due to unforseen technical problems, I was unable to post a blog yesterday, as was planned.  So - early doors the morning after, here's yesterdays photo.

Day Eighty

Evening.

This morning I woke up at 8am, after going to bed at ten past nine!  Amazing.  I'm a bit sniffly and snuffly and head achy and generally - achy.

Felt ace when I woke up, but feel like Luke's number 2 again now.

Luke and Charlotte spent the afternoon running up and down our road.

"They Ran And Ran"

"Then He Ran And Ran"

As I was driving out of Rhyl, after dropping the children off, I was sat at some traffic lights when these two old ladies crossed in front of me. I couldn't get my camera on quick enough.  They were STRAIGHT out of 1958.  Head scarves, shopping trolleys on FOUR wheels, absolute genius old lady blue coat and beige coat.  I wanted to follow them, but I came home instead.

Day Seventy Nine

Hello again.

It only seems like a few hours since my last post.  Ah well.

As this visit is the last one before Matthew celebrates living for nine years, we treated the Children to a trip to AMF Bowling in Wigan.  I booked our lane for 3pm, forgetting Wigan were at home to Burnley, kicking off at 3pm.  ALL roads were chokka. Not good.  However, given I almost always allow FAR too much time for journeys, we were there on time.

"Mentalists"
We had booked for 90 mintues and managed a game and a half.  I won the first game. I admit, with assistance, but - BUT, only because I was in the toilet with Luke when it was my go. I got back to find out Deb had taken my go and did particularly well.  Evidence....

"WINNER!"

So all in all, we had an ace afternoon. I even enjoyed it when Luke SCREAMED at the top of his tiny lungs when we went to B&M bargains on the way home. Loved that.

Oops.

Was at home all last evening and totally forgot to blog!  Apologies.

Day Seventy Seven

Wilcomen

I had a lovely breakfast today.  I was a bit low on cholesterol, so I made this...

"Scrambled Eggs, Grilled Mushrooms and Grilled Black Pudding"

Later in the day, Luke and I went the Co-op.  As we walked round there, we passed a garden where a dog was barking.  Not an angry bark. More like an old dog, barking for the hell of it. Even then, it couldn't really be arsed.  THAT kind of bark.  However, it was too much for Luke...

Day Seventy Six

Hello there

I went for a walk this morning and I went down a path I'd never been down. Walked past it loads of times in the past, so I thought I'd take a walk down it.  It cut a corner off my walk and saved me probably about 90 seconds.  Result.

"Lovely Path"

Later, after I'd picked Luke up from his Childminder, he rushed in and started to gather his engine's.  I was in the kitchen, checking on the lovely pork casserole that I'd prepared when he shouted me into the lounge.  He'd done this - and was very proud indeed.

Day Seventy Four

Hello

Had a lovely lazy day at home with my Deb and my Luke today.  We eventually got dressed and managed to walk all the way to the Co-op for some bread and milk.  Somehow managed to spend £17 in there, though.

My laptop has broken this morning.  I fixed it but it broke again this evening and it is proving to be a proper pain in the arse to fix.  So, this is the first blog post from my wife's laptop.  Thanks for letting me use it, Deb.

Day Seventy Three

ay up reader

Woke up at 11:30 after my night shift this morning.  We then drove up to Preesall to visit Granny Mildred where she fed us and it were reet lovely, so it was.

We went for a walk around the lake near her house and I captured this one of Luke and Jacob on a big white "scoop"

Back at Mildred's, the boys enjoyed playing in a box.  I was SO jealous and really wish I was still allowed to do stuff like that.

Today is Mothers Day.  I am very lucky to have been raised by such a good mum for the first thirteen years of my life.  This photo wasn't taken today. I dare say it was taken over 40 years ago in the late 1960's, but today above all days - I remember my mum.

Day Seventy Two

Greetings

Had a rubbish sleep today - was awake by midday, which is pants as I have to work until 7am tomorrow. :-(

Got a 3 photo epic for you today, as I've been out and about with the Luke.  The first two are from our trip to Alexandra Park.

And the last one is Luke doing his Elton John impression - without the gay-ness.

Day Seventy One

Evening reader

In work tonight and tomorrow, so apologies if tomorrow's pics are pants.  Not OF pants, although.....

Today I have two for you.  I had a very busy and productive morning at home before retiring to bed at midday.  I cleaned and washed and vacuumed and moved furniture, all to the delight of Luke.  I moved a sofa bed into what is going to be the guest bedroom and made it up using my eldest son's bedding so I can sleep on it in the morning.  Luke couldn't wait to get in the bed and get cosy.

"Eeeeeverton"

After I'd moved furniture round, I straightened Luke's room.  Whilst doing that, he sat on his new bed watching some crap on cbeebies.

Day Seventy

Evening all

Quickie this evening as I'm struggling to stay awake right now.

Saw TWO police helicopters circling round work earlier this evening.  Tried to get a photo of both of them but my camera phone wasn't up to the job.  Got this pic which I think it nice enough with the Lancashire Police Helicopter in view anyway.

Day Sixty Nine

When I am in work I drink a lot. Vimto, Orange Juice, or plain old water.  I find that I get very thirsty and drink a lot.

However, the cups from the vending machine seem to be getting smaller, as does the amount of liquid dispensed.

So today, I would like to say thank you to my mother in law for my most recent gift.

"Cheers"

Day Sixty Eight

Af'noon

Whilst hanging washing out in the garden today, I noticed a very large erection.  I couldn't believe the size, colour, nor prominence of it.  I took a photo of it for you all to see.

Found an egg in the tyre of the new Zafira yesterday.  Took it to have it replaced today.  £115 lighter. Not mad happy.
