Day Two Hundred And Twelve

Howdy reader

Today started off with no plans.  A day of chilling and relaxing.  Then my lovely wife had a good idea. The fruits of the idea ended up with us going up to Robin Park where the children spent some of their hard saved (by us) money. Luke and Deb returned home, whilst the rest of us went to Quasar at AMF Bowling.

I've never been to one of these laser affairs before, and as we walked out, I asked myself why.  It was super. It was like Call of Duty, but real life.  We must go back and do it again soon for sure.

This evening, my Deb is out with the girls at some tapas place in Wigan, so the rest of us are enjoying a high definition version of ET.  It's lost none of it's magic TWENTY EIGHT years on.  Twenty Eight - for christs sake.

Some photo's, anyway....

Luke being flexible.

Day Two Hundred And Eleven

Evening reader

Got all my people with me tonight so I'm a happy father and husband!

Today's singular photo is.....

The sky falling in on the A55.

Day Two Hundred And Ten

Morning avid reader.

I'm about 10 mins late posting this, but I shall blame Billy Connolly who's DVD we are watching. He distracted me.

Some photo's for you...

Our lovely drinks machine in work.  You may have noticed that there isn't a number 71 listed on the "menu".  However, if you ask it to dispense a 71 you get a lovely creamy chocolatey drink.  Many more permutations have been discovered by my friend Martyn.

This poster has appeared recently.  I know that it's trying to depict a man who has been held back by red tape, but it looks much more sinister to me!

Boobs.

Day Two Hundred And Nine

YO YO YO homeys.

I've decided that I really am quite adept at speaking "street".

I've just been tweeted by Polly Lake (@pollyjames) - she's off the radio.  She tweeted me. Ace.

So - I'm feeling a bit light-headed and drunk probably due to a lack of sleep this afternoon when this was being done....

I know it's a bit of a distance away, but don't forget - you can click the image to "big it up".  I'm hoping that most of the noisy work is now complete.  It won't be, but here's hoping.

We got some roof tiles delivered today, too.  I could do that bit.  No doubt, it's just like a big, but dead easy jigsaw.

Whilst enjoying our "evening" meal, we were all watching Luke's new Fireman Sam DVD.  He used to call them DDD's, and I'm kinda sad he doesn't anymore. I digress.  Luke decided to arrange his "big machines" so they could watch, too.  Bless him.

And that's that, or like they say in scouseland - dats da.

T'ra a bit.

Day Two Hundred And Eight

Good evening reader!

Had a so-so day at work today.  Ups and downs - peaks and troughs, etc.

Luke and Deb went to the cinema to watch Toy Story 3.  Luke fell asleep, but Deb enjoyed it, so still!

Two photo's for you today.

This evening, Luke decided it would be fun to run round the living room completely nude, throwing his underpants at myself and Deb.  No idea where he gets that from - definitely not me(!)

Work should be starting in earnest on our roof tomorrow.  However, thus far... all I have is wood.  My front garden is overgrown, but I have wood.  All in all, not a bad position to be in!  (that was all a bit Carry on wasn't it?!)

Day Two Hundred And Seven

A very good evening to you, loyal reader!

Or - maybe you're a first time reader?  Are you?  That's exciting.  Tell me if you are.

I have but one photograph for you today.  Taken on my rainy journey to work this morning.  I often see this companies vans driving round Wigan, but today for the first time I was up close to one, and I managed to get this photo.  You may need to click it to fully appreciate the smutty humour I found in it...

Day Two Hundred And Six

Evening reader

Today has been... slow.  A slow day, with no rushes, no stresses, just... slow.

Even Luked kicked back and chilled out watching Fireman Sam...

Day Two Hundred And Five

Morning reader. Another late one. Sorry.

Luke had some friends (and their parents) visit yesterday.  So, we have lots and lots of photo's from the event.  Here are a selection...

Day Two Hundred And Four

Hi

It's been a funny old day for me.  Woke up and was convinced I'd contracted some sort of bug.  My head was throbbing, my body was aching and I had the shakes.  When Deb got up, we swapped places and I went for a "quick" nap.  Two and a half hours sleep and a bowl of Heinz mushroom soup later and I was repaired!

Off to Costco with Luke to get supplies for tomorrow (barbecue). Then off to ASDA to get stuff that Costco didn't have. Home, mowed the lawn, strimmed, weeded the patio, brushed the crap up and assembled the gazibo!

Anyway you're not here to hear about my day - a photo....

Day Two Hundred And Three

Morning reader

Apologies for another late post.

Luke went a bit mental last night.  Not in a bad way, in a running round singing way.  I managed to capture some of his mental-ness...

Luke wrote his cousin's name, and his own name with his bath letters.

 Happy Face!

Sad Face!

Day Two Hundred And Two

Af'noon enormous readership of mine

Two photo's for you (with the potential for more to be added later this evening).

A very dark sky resulting in a dark "reflecty" flash.

A lot of work to be done before friends visit at the weekend for a barbecue!

The Sky At Night.  The view from my office window this evening after it had been sunny then raining then thunder then lightening then sunny again.

Day Two Hundred And One

Morning.

I forgot to blog yesterday, so a quickie this morning.

I only took one photo, which I sent to my daughter, so I'm afraid you'll have to have that!

Day Two Hundred

Evening reader!

Never ever did I Imagine I'd make two hundred blog posts of crappy photo's I'd taken.  Thanks for stopping by to see today's random image.

Saying that, today's is ace.

I had the pleasure of visiting the lovely Concourse Shopping Centre in sexy Skelmersdale today.  Whilst doing a few laps, I became aware of just how many of these things I'd seen.  So on my way back to work, I hit a double jackpot.  One of these - being pulled by a man!

Day One Hundred And Ninety Nine

Evening reader

Been well busy today.  My children are staying an extra couple of nights because I really didn't feel up to taking them back home today.  Their mum was ok with them staying until Tuesday, so that is what's happening!

Just the one photo for you today, of Robert, from this morning.  I've never ever been fishing and he said he'd teach me.  We caught nothing, but we were at a very shallow part of the flash.  Next time, we'll venture further and see what we get!

Cheers, Rob!

Day One Hundred And Ninety Eight

Evening Reader

Been to Liverpool with 80% of the clan today. Abbey isn't with us again this weekend as she isn't feeling well.

We went for the Waterfront festival that was taking place across Liverpool's tourist-y docklands.  It was really good, I thought.  A great many people were there, along with clowns, bands, and lots of Pirates!

Some photo's for you...

On the platform at Pemberton, about to embark on our tri-county journey!

At Kiiiiiiirkby station, waiting for train number two!

So - on Church Street in Liverpool, a man was upside down with his head in a bucket.  Why not?

 Big tall ships

 Bigger and taller ship

I didn't want to be in this photo. I don't like being in photo's, but my good wife insisted.

Looking back across Canning Dock, towards the Maritime Museum, and Albert Dock.

Big tall... people! Outside the Port of Liverpool building.

The Abbey.  For my Abbey.

Went to Wigan today.  Didn't see any dead people, though - which is always nice.

I did get the PS3 game I went for yesterday - which also, was nice.

Some photo's...

Day One Hundred And Ninety Six

Af'noon reader.

Thought I might as well do today's blog whilst I was sat down for a few minutes before starting to iron for a few hours!

Been up into Wigan this morning for some sin-free sausages for me Deb, and I wanted a new game for the PS3 as well.  However...  whilst driving in to Wigan, I had to stop at a green light to let a police BMW X5 cross in front of me.  I'd crossed two more sets of lights when I saw the same car, approach from the left, bump up onto the kerb, drive across a grass verge down onto the road in front of me and then scream round a corner to the left - the very direction I was going!

I was unable to follow it, as there was a wee police Corsa blocking the road, so I parked elsewhere.  When I went to investigate, this is what I found...

Unfortunately, a lady had been killed in an accident. She was run over by a council lorry after falling over behind it as it was reversing.  As I approached the scene I thought at the very least that a jewellers had been robbed. I counted TWELVE police vehicles involved either at the scene, or blocking off the 3 roads that approached the scene of the accident.

Not ones to miss out on a captive audience, McDonalds quickly dispatched this lady armed with vouchers for 50p off cups of coffee.

God bless you Ronald you insensitive clown.  RIP dead lady.
