Howdy
Had a nice productive day today. Took shit to the tip, scooped shit out of the gutters, ironed shit and now I smell like shit.
The weather has been a tad erratic today. Beautiful hot summers day, followed minutes later by tremendously heavy showers. Utter madness.
Some photo's from today for your delectation...
I had this t-shirt delivered today. It amuses me, but I'll understand if you think it's crap.
Luke's Grandma was taking photo's of him today and I got in on the action with this one.
Now for some photographs of weather. Firstly a wonky rainbow...
And then a zoomed in rainbow...
And finally - actual high definition footage of the rainbow! It's a big mo fo, but it is colourful.
A blog of my ambition to take at least one photo a day, every day, during 2010. I am NOT a photographer, nor am I particularly good at it, so don't expect any works of wonder here! Will It be interesting? Probably not, but - I am doing it for me, and not for any other reason, so... yeah. All photo's are thumbnail images and can be clicked for slightly higher resolution versions.

Day Two Hundred And Twenty Nine
Good evening reader
I did a whole half of a day at work today. It was ace. I love working half day's. It doesn't feel like I'm there very long, but then I seem to have aaaaages at home afterwards. Works for me!
Deb went out for a litle shop this afternoon and bought Luke a Woody t-shirt. It's one of them that has the body of Woody on the shirt, but no head so Lukes head is Woody's head. I'm not explaining this too well - here's a photo...
Prior to that, Luke spent a while playing Peppa Pig on the Wii. SO - relaxed....

Day Two Hundred And Twenty Eight
Evening reader
Had a busy old day today! Managed to get Luke's school uniform sorted. He starts pre-school in a few weeks so we went up to Slaters at Eckersley Mill to kit him out. I'm sure he'll look ace when he decides it's ok to wear it.
Came home via Tesco and started work in the garden. The grass was 6" high in parts, which considering it was only cut 3 weeks ago is quite impressive! So it's all mowed and strimmed and tidied, now. I also emptied the shed for the first time in about 3 years. Transferred some stuff into my new tool store and I'm very pleased indeed!
Only posting one photo tonight. I saw two social outcasts in Tesco. The gentleman was something to behold. He had a long black jacket on, a pair of shorts and a t-shirt underneath, flip flops and a hair-style that I can't even describe. She was a looker, too!
I wouldn't say I was mocking these people. It's just that I have such terrible dress-sense that seeing people who look like this makes me feel good about myself!
And so my lovely wife pointed out that she took a photo today, which can be used to bulk today's post up a little! It features me, and Luke, my able lawn assistant!

Day Two Hundred And Twenty Seven
Good evening reader!
Another lovely day today. Both weather-wise, and activity-wise. We went to Downholland, to Farmer Teds to celebrate Alexandra's third birthday. It's ace there. Loads to do so the young folk are kept entertained all day long.
Here are a selection of photographs from the day.

On the tractor ride around the park. Luke did actually enjoy it despite his non-plussed expression.
A dead pig. Or it might have been sleeping.
Loads of fun - ferret racing!
Luke thoroughly enjoyed his time playing here.
Evidence of him enjoying himself. Again - with a non-plussed expression, but hey - he's happy!
Luke, Scarlett and Tom wreaking havoc - in their own 3 year old ways.
Now this - was good. I would guess it was a 30metre zip wire. I want one. Martyn and birthday girl Alexandra kicked it off.
Followed by Mr Hayton with daughter number two - (Sofia)
And finally - I had a trauma this morning. I didn't hear the noise of my toaster popping up with my lovely medium sliced white toasty bread. After a few mins, I realised that I'd missed the noise. Went into the kitchen and the toast was almost cold. Which means - hard and crunchy. And we all know - that doesn't make good toast. I ate it, and made more. This - is nice toast.
One with crunchy peanut butter - one without.

Day Two Hundred And Twenty Six

Had an ace day today. Started off the day dancing to Kylie Minogue's classic "Step Back In Time" in the kitchen with Luke and Deb. Surreal, but true!
Our friend Paul, and his children Amy, Jenna and Jack came early afternoon as myself, Paul, Amy and Jack were going to watch Wigan take on Blackpool. Blackpool thrashed Wigan 4-0. Here are some photo's and video of the day...

This was taken as there was a bit of a rumpus happening in the West Stand as several Wigan fans were being removed, however, it did capture the sexy police lady who was looking after us.
And finally - I spent a week nurturing this, and removed it this morning..

Day Two Hundred And Twenty Five
Evening reader
I took ages to wake up today. Physically I got out of bed at 12:30, but when Deb got home at 6pm, I still hadn't mentally woke up. I pulled out in front of someone in the car this afternoon, too. Complete cock.
I took Luke to Messy Monsters and he made things. Here are those things...
Tomorrow - Wigan Athletic vs Blackpool. I'm hoping to take lots of photo's as I'll be an impartial attendee at the game!

Day Two Hundred And Twenty Four
Four and half hours late - hello all the same.
I'll make this quick because I've done SO much typing in work tonight, I feel like I'm back in 1990 being taught how to type.
There have been many floods across the Greater Manchester area today (yesterday technically). Fortunately, Wigan was not adversely affected. However, Bollington was specifically mentioned in the BBC News story. My in law's live in Bollington and from what I hear, it's been a bit damp!
Once again - don't forget that there is a hosepipe ban still in effect. Rivers are literally bursting their banks, but we can't use a hosepipe. I will be constantly baffled by that.
So - photo's. Got two for you. One depicting rain, but it was mighty dark, so it's mostly depicting.. darkness. The other depicting a smashing packet of a baked corn snack.
